Clarinet Ensemble

The Princess of Asturias Foundation International Music School’s Clarinet Ensemble, made up of twenty young students from Portugal, the USA, Venezuela and Spain, all students from the school’s Summer Courses, is directed by António Saiote (Lisbon, 1960), a teacher at the Advanced School of Music and Performing Arts (ESMAE), Oporto, who taught the subject at the International Music School between 2005 and 2013.

In 2011, they performed at the Royal Palace of El Pardo in an act presided over by Their Majesties the King and Queen of Spain, where they interpreted, among other works, the Intermedio of the well-known zarzuela by Gerónimo Giménez La Boda de Luis Alonso, Vitorio Montti’s Csárdás and Jan Van der Roost’s Rikudim.
